Release 10/3/2003 - Why it\'s a Collector\'s Edition * The Origin Story: This colorway was originally a Player Exclusive (PE) created for LeBron James during his 2003 rookie season with the Cleveland Cavaliers. It represents the start of his legendary partnership with Nike. The Branding: It features the rare, early-era \"LJ\" crown logo on the heel, which Nike phased out later in his career. The 10th Anniversary Release: While the PEs were from 2003, this specific version was released to the public in late 2013 to celebrate LeBron\'s first decade in the NBA, making it a \"decade-anniversary\" tribute. The Significance of Size 13 The \"LeBron Size\": Collectors often seek out Size 13 because it is LeBron James\'s actual shoe size. Owning a pair in the athlete\'s own size adds a layer of \"true-to-player\" authenticity to a collection. Scarcity: In older or limited releases, larger sizes like 13 were produced in significantly lower quantities than mid-range sizes (9–10.5), making \"Deadstock\" (brand new) pairs very hard to find today. Current Market for Size 13 Currently, a pair in this size is considered rare. On secondary markets like Poshmark and GOAT, prices for a Size 13 can range from $150 for used \"vintage\" condition to over $400 for pairs in pristine condition.
